Good Morning, Newport! Today is Thursday, June 5, the 156th day of 2025. There are 209 days left in the year.

🚨 You need to know

Music lovers, mark your calendars! Ragged Island Brewing Co. is bringing back its popular music festival this weekend – June 7 and 8, featuring a mix of local talent and tribute bands.

The brewery will be closed to the public during the event, but don’t worry – you can still join the fun by grabbing a ticket. Just keep in mind that space is limited, so you’ll want to act fast if you’re planning to attend.

Over the two-day festival, you’ll get to enjoy a variety of musical styles, including tributes to fan favorites Sublime and Talking Heads.

Saturday’s lineup is packed with great acts: Chelley Knight and the Dope Things, The Ravers, Morrissey BLVD, Pete Francis Band, and Badfish – A Sublime Tribute.

Sunday keeps the good vibes rolling with Guess Method, Dudemanbro, Start Making Sense – A Talking Heads Tribute, John Browns Body, and The Original Wailers featuring Al Anderson.

The festival runs from noon to 8:30 p.m. both days at the brewery in Portsmouth.
