Little Clam, a new coastal restaurant celebrating Rhode Island’s culinary heritage, opens June 5 at the Wayfinder Newport hotel.
Nestled in the newly renovated hotel, Little Clam aims to showcase New England’s seaside traditions through an immersive dining experience focused on local seafood, seasonal produce, and artisanal products.
Executive Chef Antonio Wormley and Consulting Chef Jake Rojas lead Little Clam’s kitchen, bringing extensive experience and a strong commitment to using sustainable, locally sourced ingredients.

“Little Clam captures everything we love about Rhode Island — its spirit, its flavors, and its sense of community,” said Wormley. “Every dish is a conversation with the people behind the ingredients—oyster farmers, foragers, and family-run farms who make Rhode Island so dynamic. We’re excited to open our doors and share the stories that inspire every dish.”
Rojas, who previously owned Tallulah on Thames (464 Thames Street), owns Tallulah’s Taqueria in Providence and its seasonal popup in Jamestown.
The menu features responsibly sourced seafood and seasonal vegetables, including Rhode Island Walrus and Carpenter oysters, a Blackbird Farm burger, and Hopkins Southdowns lamb. Rotating snacks and shareable plates highlight the freshness of New England’s coastal harvest.
Little Clam’s beverage program complements the food with classic and house cocktails, New England spirits, and a selection of local brews.
The restaurant’s design reflects its coastal surroundings, blending minimalism with warmth through earth tones, sea blues, and natural textures. The 161-seat dining room extends into a lounge-style solarium and outdoor patio.
Little Clam, which replaces Nomi Park, is one of three dining options at Wayfinder Newport, alongside The Café and the Poolshack.
The Wayfinder Hotel is located at 151 Admiral Kalbfus Road and online at wayfindernewport.com.
