The Rhode Island Department of Transportation (RIDOT) has published its list of travel advisories for the week of May 3 – 9, 2025.

Here’s a look at what’s on the schedule for Newport County.

Weekday

 Middletown: Rte. 138 (East Main Rd.), from Oliphant Lane to Mitchell’s Ln., lane shifts possible for curb and drainage work, Mon. – Fri., 9 a.m. – 3 p.m.

Middletown: Valley Rd., from Johnny Cake Hl. to Aquidneck Ave., right shoulder closed for drainage work, Mon., 9 a.m. – 3 p.m.

 Tiverton: Rte. 77 (Main Rd.), from Bridgeport Rd. to Central Ave., shoulder closures for sign installation, Mon. – Fri., 9 a.m. – 3 p.m.

Continuing

 Tiverton: Rte. 179, from Eight Rod Wy. to Lake Rd., utility work behind barrier with frequent vehicle access in/out of the work zone and delays possible, Mon. – Sat., 7 a.m. – 5 p.m. through May 19.
