Promoter Spectacle Live announced four upcoming shows at two Rhode Island venues, with tickets for all four going on sale Friday, June 5, at 10 a.m.

At the JPT Film & Event Center in Newport, the lineup includes the jazz group the Hot Sardines on Friday, Aug. 28, at 7:30 p.m., and Tusk: The Classic Tribute to Fleetwood Mac on Friday, Aug. 21, at 8 p.m. Tickets for the Newport shows are available at JanePickens.com or by calling 1-800-657-8774.

The Hot Sardines, led by co-founders Elizabeth Bougerol and Evan Palazzo, are touring behind a project called “Banned Jazz,” which the group describes as a celebration of the music of artists including Louis Armstrong, Josephine Baker and Benny Goodman whose work was targeted by political forces in the United States and Europe, according to the announcement. The band’s latest recording is “C’est La Vie,” a bilingual album of jazz standards and originals. Spectacle Live said the group debuted “Banned Jazz” at Carnegie Hall in 2024.

Tusk has performed as a Fleetwood Mac tribute act since 2008, with five musicians each specializing in one member of the band’s classic lineup of Lindsey Buckingham, Stevie Nicks, Christine McVie, John McVie and Mick Fleetwood, according to Spectacle Live.

At the Historic Park Theatre & Event Center in Cranston, Spectacle Live will present An Evening with Kenny G on Friday, Sept. 18, at 7:30 p.m., followed by the comedic theatrical production “Late Nite Catechism” on Sunday, Sept. 20, at 2 p.m. Tickets are available at theparkri.com or by calling 1-800-657-8774.

Kenny G is a Grammy Award–winning saxophonist who has sold more than 75 million records worldwide, according to Spectacle Live. His albums include 1992’s “Breathless,” which the promoter described as the best-selling instrumental album of all time, and his 20th studio album, “Innocence.” He is the subject of the HBO documentary “Listening to Kenny G.”

“Late Nite Catechism,” a long-running interactive comedy show, casts the audience as students in a classroom led by a nun character, according to the promoter.

Spectacle Live, founded in 2012, provides booking and venue operations across New England.
