This Sunday, Oct. 26, Yagi Noodles is trading its usual dinner service for something a bit louder and a lot more rebellious.
The popular Long Wharf Mall noodle spot is hosting a cocktail party in collaboration with Rejects Beer Co. and Fortune Tattoos, bringing together Asian street food, craft beer, live punk rock vinyl spins and flash tattooing for one unconventional Sunday evening.
Running from 4 to 8 p.m., the event promises what organizers are calling “one wild Sunday night in Newport,” featuring Yagi’s from-scratch street food paired with exclusive Rejects beer selections. The highlight of the evening will be the debut of a brand-new Rejects x Yagi collaboration beer created specifically for the event.
For $49 per person, attendees will receive a welcome sake bomb, three small plates of Yagi street food and three beer pairings, including tastes of the new collaboration brew.
The atmosphere will be anything but typical restaurant fare. DJ Hobo (Craig H. Ferris) will spin punk rock vinyl throughout the evening, while Pete Fortune of Fortune Tattoos will offer flash tattooing for those looking to commemorate the night with some ink.
Yagi Noodles is located at 20 Long Wharf Mall in Newport.
Tickets are available through info@yaginoodles.com. Given the unique nature of the event and limited capacity, advance booking is recommended.
