The International Tennis Hall of Fame announced Monday it will welcome eight new members to its Board of Governors in 2026, bringing diverse expertise from business, philanthropy and the tennis industry.

Three current board members were also appointed to the 24-member Executive Board, which helps guide the nonprofit organization dedicated to preserving tennis history and honoring the sport’s champions.

“These individuals’ diverse experience and dedication to our sport will be invaluable as we continue to advance our mission,” said Dan Swan, chairman of the board. “The next several years will provide a unique opportunity to preserve the history of tennis, celebrate its champions and inspire excellence to the next generation around the globe.”

The new board members include Tony Godsick, co-founder and CEO of TEAM8, a sports marketing firm behind the Laver Cup. Godsick, who previously served on the board, has managed the careers of Roger Federer, Monica Seles and Coco Gauff.

Also joining are Pat Shields, owner of Fromuth Racquet Sports and Midwest Racquet Sports, who has been in the tennis industry since 1992, and Rob Pohly, founder and chief investment officer of Samlyn Capital and co-president of the Yale Tennis Association.

Other incoming members include Marty Deitchman, a retired chief financial officer and longtime supporter of the National Junior Tennis and Learning network in Trenton, N.J.; Anne Hamilton, a philanthropist who serves on boards including the Philadelphia Museum of Art; Marty Mann, a venture partner at Cartan Capital who serves on the USTA Foundation Advisory Board; Joseph Matarese, an executive partner at Shore Capital Partners who founded Medicus Healthcare Solutions; and Sandra Simpson, a trustee of the Davenport Family Foundation and CFA charterholder.

The three members elevated to the Executive Board are Michael Barnello, managing partner and founder of Badlands Hotel Capital; Madeleine Durkin, board chair of the Gilbane Family Foundation; and Curtis Glovier, chief investment officer of Star Mountain Capital.

The hall’s 2026 Board of Governors will include 80 members total. All terms begin in January.

The International Tennis Hall of Fame has inducted 270 hall of famers representing 28 nations since its founding. The organization is based in Newport.
