Chef Nick Curtin, who holds a Michelin star at his Copenhagen restaurant Alouette, returns to Castle Hill Inn on Oct. 16 and 17 for a two-night collaboration with Aurelia and its chef, Quentin Diez.
It’s a repeat of a dinner the two kitchens did last year. The prix fixe runs $185 per person, with beverage pairings extra, and reservations open through OpenTable on Sept. 16. The menu is built around Rhode Island produce, seafood and artisanal producers at their October peak.
Curtin, 39, grew up in Providence and came up in New York kitchens — Jean-Georges at Perry Street, Acme under Mads Refslund, then Rosette, where he made the Forbes 30 Under 30 list. He moved to Copenhagen in 2014 and opened Alouette in 2018 with his partner, Camilla Hansen. The restaurant holds a Michelin star and a Michelin green star, and was named Denmark’s most sustainable restaurant in 2024.
“This dinner is an opportunity to celebrate the place where my culinary journey began while bringing home the perspective I’ve developed in Copenhagen,” Curtin said.
Aurelia received a Forbes Travel Guide Five-Star award earlier this year. Castle Hill Inn, a Relais & Châteaux property on a 40-acre peninsula at the mouth of Narragansett Bay, is operated by Newport Restaurant Group.
