The Corcoran Group announced Monday the launch of its first Rhode Island affiliate, Corcoran Chart House Realty, marking the second major luxury real estate brand to expand into the state in less than a week.
The announcement comes four days after SERHANT., the brokerage founded by Netflix star Ryan Serhant, revealed it had recruited five top Rhode Island agents as part of its own expansion into the market.
Led by broker and owner Matthew Antonio, Corcoran Chart House Realty will serve clients throughout Rhode Island’s East Bay, Newport County and surrounding areas. The company plans to open new offices in Newport and Providence’s East Side.
“Rhode Island’s East Bay and coastal enclaves offer a rare blend of heritage, lifestyle, and enduring real estate value,” said Pamela Liebman, president and CEO of The Corcoran Group. “With their deep-rooted local expertise, strong leadership, and a culture that truly prioritizes collaboration and care, Corcoran Chart House Realty is an ideal addition to our network.”
Founded in 2013 as Chart House Realtors, the company opened its first office in 2018. In 2023, Antonio was recognized as the top individual selling agent in Barrington and the East Bay, according to State-Wide MLS.
The firm added chief operating officer Tyler Swanson earlier this year to focus on strategic growth, agent support and marketing innovation.
“Joining the Corcoran network allows us to grow without losing what makes our company feel like home to our clients,” Antonio said. “Corcoran’s marketing power, technology tools, and international presence are the perfect complement to our values.”
Unlike SERHANT.’s Rhode Island launch, which recruited agents from existing brokerages, Corcoran’s entry involves converting an established local firm to operate under its brand.
Corcoran Chart House Realty will continue operating from its existing Barrington office while expanding its boutique team of affiliated agents.
Rhode Island’s coastal real estate market is characterized by waterfront properties, historic charm and limited inventory, particularly in Barrington, Newport and Jamestown. The region attracts primary and second-home buyers from Boston, New York and beyond.
In 2024, the region recorded more than $2.1 billion in combined sales volume, with Newport County contributing more than $750 million, according to State-Wide MLS.
“Matt and his team have built something truly special in Rhode Island’s coastal communities,” said Stephanie Anton, president of Corcoran Affiliates. “The team’s dedication to excellence and their deep understanding of the local market make them ideal affiliates for the Corcoran brand.”
Since launching its affiliate network in February 2020, Corcoran has expanded across the United States and internationally. Recent domestic launches include affiliates in Houston, Boston, Portland, Raleigh and Washington, D.C. International expansion includes offices in Italy, Canada, Mexico, Portugal and Germany.
The Corcoran Group operates more than 140 offices with over 4,500 independent salespersons in urban, suburban and resort markets worldwide.
