The luxury real estate company founded by Netflix’s “Owning Manhattan” star Ryan Serhant announced Friday its expansion into Rhode Island, marking the firm’s third new market entry this year.

SERHANT., the eponymous brokerage founded by the former “Million Dollar Listing New York” star, has recruited five top-performing agents from established Rhode Island firms as it continues national expansion.

The move into Rhode Island follows the company’s Phoenix debut in March and Washington, D.C., metro area launch in July, bringing SERHANT.’s total footprint to 13 states and the District of Columbia.

Serhant, 41, was raised in Topsfield, Massachusetts. The Houston-born entrepreneur started his real estate career in 2008, earning $9,000 his first year.

Founded in 2020 in New York City, SERHANT. has grown to more than 1,100 agents across 14 markets. Serhant currently stars in Netflix’s “Owning Manhattan,” which premiered in June, and previously starred in Bravo’s “Million Dollar Listing New York” for nine seasons.

The Rhode Island launch includes founding agents Dina Karousos, Tammy Bass, Devin Sheehan, Caroline Richards and Hillary Olinger, with combined career sales exceeding $1.5 billion.

Karousos, who left Gustave White Sotheby’s International Realty, closed $68 million in 2024 and has $435 million in career sales over 15 years. She was the No. 1 agent at her previous firm in 2025 and ranked in the top 1% of Rhode Island agents from 2020-2025. Her transactions include the $8.55 million sale of 179 Indian Avenue in Portsmouth. She co-owns the Blue Plate Diner.

Bass brings 23 years of Rhode Island market experience from Hogan Associates Christie’s International, with over $700 million in career sales. She closed more than $55 million from September 2024 to September 2025 and was the top agent at her previous firm for four years.

“I wanted to be part of a company with an upward trajectory—one that puts growth and progress at the heart of everything it does,” Bass said.

Sheehan, formerly with RE/MAX, has 11 years of experience and over $114 million in career sales, including $17 million in 2025. His transactions include the sale of 299 Switch Road in Richmond, the third-highest single-family sale recorded in that town.

Richards joins from Hogan Associates/Christie’s International Real Estate with 12 years of experience and more than $120 million in career sales. The former New York City investment banker received the RI Monthly Excellence in Real Estate Award.

Olinger, also from Hogan Associates/Christie’s International Real Estate, has over a decade of experience with more than $70 million in career sales across 120-plus transactions. She has represented properties across Newport, Barrington, Portsmouth, Middletown, South County and Bristol.

SERHANT. uses proprietary AI platform S.MPLE, in-house creative services through ID Lab, and content production via SERHANT. Studios. The company operates SellIt.com, a digital education platform with more than 30,000 members across 125 countries.

Serhant has authored three books and serves as executive producer of “Owning Manhattan.” The Hamilton College graduate appeared in 19 episodes of “As the World Turns” before transitioning to real estate.

SERHANT. now operates in Arizona, Connecticut, Florida, Georgia, Maryland, New Jersey, New York, North Carolina, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, South Carolina, Virginia and Washington, D.C.
