Saw The Musical.

The Jane Pickens Theatre & Event Center (The JPT) celebrates Halloween with a series of films and special events in October.

“Halloween is just around the corner, and The JPT is excited to give guests the opportunity to celebrate the Halloween season with us. We have an incredible group of spooky films headed to our theater and a live musical touring across North America. We hope you will join us in celebrating the Halloween season!” said Alex Whitney, General Manager at The JPT.

SAW The Musical (Saturday, October 19, 7:30 PM)

One of the most thought-provoking horror films of all time now is a musical. SAW The Musical hilariously captures the events of the first movie, parodying the Saw that started it all following from where Lawrence Gordon and Adam Stanheight find each other for the first time in the bathroom trap. Will they follow “the rules” as they discover each other’s secrets? [Parental Advisory: Explicit Content]

SAW The Musical The Unauthorized Parody of Saw began performances Off-Broadway at The AMT Theater on September 16, 2023, with a New York opening night on Sunday, October 1, 2023. The Musical’s Out-of-Town Tryout ran in Philadelphia, PA, at The Adrienne Theater in Center City in October 2022. The National Tour began in February 2024 and is running now across North America! For tickets and more information on SAW The Musical, click here.

The Lost Boys (Thursday, October 24, 7:30 PM)

Teenage brothers Michael (Jason Patric) and Sam (Corey Haim) move with their mother (Dianne Wiest) to a small town in northern California. While the younger Sam meets a pair of kindred spirits in geeky comic-book nerds Edgar (Corey Feldman) and Alan (Jamison Newlander), the angst-ridden Michael soon falls for Star (Jami Gertz) — who turns out to be in thrall to David (Kiefer Sutherland), leader of a local gang of vampires. Sam and his new friends must save Michael and Star from the undead.

The Lost Boys screening is sponsored by local dispensary Hanger 420, which will be handing out swag prior to the film. Rejects Beer Co. will also be in The JPT lobby hosting a beer tasting in the lobby before the show. For tickets and more information on The Lost Boys, click here

A Nightmare on Elm St, 40th Anniversary! (Thursday, October 31, 8:30 PM)

In visionary horror director Wes Craven’s classic slasher film, several Midwestern teenagers fall prey to Freddy Krueger (Robert Englund), a disfigured midnight mangler who preys on the teenagers in their dreams — which, in turn, kills them in reality. After investigating the phenomenon, Nancy (Heather Langenkamp) begins to suspect that a dark secret kept by her and her friends’ parents may be the key to unraveling the mystery, but can Nancy and her boyfriend Glen (Johnny Depp) solve the puzzle before it’s too late?
