Thirteen properties changed hands across Newport County last week, representing another week of activity across Jamestown, Middletown, Newport, Portsmouth, and Tiverton. While inventory remains below where many buyers would like it to be, we are beginning to see more consistent movement in the marketplace, a trend that I hope continues as we move through the second half of the summer.
One of the things I enjoy most about this business is that every closing represents a different story. On a personal note, I want to congratulate some friends of mine on the purchase of 233 Turnpike Avenue in Portsmouth last Monday. Purchasing your first home is one of life’s biggest milestones, and I couldn’t be happier for them as they begin this exciting new chapter. Congratulations to everyone involved!
The market itself continues to reward preparation and realistic pricing. Buyers have become increasingly informed and selective, while sellers who invest the time to properly prepare and strategically position their homes are still seeing excellent results. Even as conditions become more balanced, quality homes continue to attract meaningful interest.
Behind the scenes, we have several exciting listings currently available throughout Newport County, and we are actively preparing a number of additional properties that will be coming to market over the next few weeks. I look forward to sharing those opportunities soon.
Whether you’re considering buying, selling, or simply exploring what your options might be, I believe every successful real estate decision starts with a conversation. Over the past several months, I’ve had the opportunity to help many local homeowners evaluate their goals, understand today’s market, and determine whether now is the right time to make a move. There is never any pressure, just honest advice and thoughtful guidance tailored to your situation.
If you’re interested in learning more about these recent sales, would like insight into today’s market, or want to schedule a confidential consultation, I would welcome the opportunity to earn your trust and business.
