Rhode Island Craft Beer Week rolls into the weekend with dozens of special events and new releases. Stop by local taprooms this weekend to see what’s in store.

Ragged Island Brewing

Ragged Island Brewing, located at 54 Bristol Ferry Rd. in Portsmouth, has established itself as the leading Aquidneck Island brewery. Just in time for St. Patrick’s Day, the popular 5th Ward Stout was just released, and additional popular brews including Tiny Truck IPA and Old Boys Vienna Lager are currently available in the tasting room. Taproot Brewing Company

The taproom at Taproot Brewing, located at Newport Vineyards at 909 East Main Road in Middletown, will be busy all weekend pouring favorites, including Chocolate Strawberry Milk Stout, Johnnycake Red, the New England IPA F-Bomb, and Whiteout, a rare white stout. Reject’s Beer Company

Things are starting to pick up at Reject’s, everyone’s favorite neighborhood brewery, located at 124 Aquidneck Ave. in Middletown. The brewery is currently pouring favorites, including the popular New England IPA 12 O’Clock High, the Spicy Mole Stout, and the light, refreshing Japanese Lager. Prepare to rock next Saturday afternoon at 3 PM with a St. Patrick’s Day show from Neutral Nation and We Own Land. Click here for details.

Pivotal Brewing Company

Pivotal Brewing at 500 Wood Street in Bristol has just released their seasonal Bryter Kellerbier, described as “soft and delicate, like beautiful wildflowers with citrus/melon accents.” Also on tap is Spinning Vinyl, a coffee stout, a West Coast IPA, Bine Rhymer, and PIVO-tal, a Czech-style pilsner. Music in the taproom this weekend features singer-songwriter and finalist on NBC’s The Voice and America’s Got Talent, Mia Boostrom on Friday, and Andre Arsenault with rock, folk, blues, and country on Saturday. Newport Craft Brewing and Distilling Company

Construction on a new tasting room at Newport Craft Brewing and Distilling Company continues with a grand opening expected soon. Meanwhile, look for your favorites at local bars and liquor stores. Known for IPAs including Rhode Trip and Rhode Rage, the brewery is also supplying local customers with their tasty Blueberry Ale, the imperial Malasada Stout, and the popular low-cal brew, Coast. Coddington Brewing Company

Coddington Brewing Company, located at 210 Coddington Highway in Middletown, is the oldest craft brewery on Aquidneck Island.
