Jamestown Volunteer Fire Department members rescued a dog and civilian from a cliff at Beavertail State Park on Tuesday, March 19.

At 1:43 pm on Tuesday, “Fire alarm alerted crews to a report of a dog that fell off a cliff at Beavertail State Park and was unable to get up”, Jamestown Fire Department shared on their Instagram Page.

“While en route to the incident, crews were notified that a civilian had attempted to rescue the animal and was now unable to get back up as well. The first arriving companies were directed to the Blue Dot Trail off lot #2,” Jamestown Fire Department shared.

According to the Jamestown Fire Department, “Crews utilized a rope system and lowered two firefighters to secure both the dog and civilian. Both parties were safely brought back to the trail with no injuries.”
