Hotel Viking ready to celebrate the 2017 winter holidays with new events, decadent dinners

Thanksgiving Day Grand Buffet – Thursday, Nov 23 – Noon and 2 PM seating times – Indulge in a decadent Thanksgiving Day feast served in the Viking Ballroom.  The buffet features soups, salads, a raw bar, carving stations and all of the traditional delights. Price: $89 per adults, $34 children, $79 seniors. Reservations are highly recommended.

Turkeys To Go – Nov 23 – 11 am, 1 pm, and 3 pm pick up times – Thanksgiving dinner hot and ready to enjoy, and the only work you have to do is drive over and pick up curbside.

Thanksgiving Prix Fixe Menu at One Bellevue – Thursday, Nov 23 – 4 PM – 9 PM – Savor an intimate Thanksgiving dining experience at One Bellevue restaurant at Hotel Viking. A 3-course prix fixe menu is prepared a la carte style by Chef Simone Ferrara. Price: $69 inclusive of tax and gratuity.

Aficionados & Connoisseurs – Thursday Nights: Nov 30, Dec 7,14, 21- 6 PM – 7:30 PM – An ever-popular adaptation of Hotel Viking’s Spirits & Stogies series, Aficionados & Connoisseurs offers small plates and fine cigars paired with a Scotch, bourbon or brandy. The event is held in the hotel’s open-air courtyard. Price: $49 per person inclusive of tax and gratuity, includes one cigar, two tastings of the selected spirit for the night, and a culinary tasting from Chef Simone Ferrara.

Hotel Viking Tree Lighting & Giving Tree Kickoff – Friday, Dec 1 – 6 PM –  Join Hotel Viking for a community Tree Lighting in the hotel’s courtyard. There will be entertainment and complimentary cookies and hot cocoa will be served. Bar service will also be available. Hotel Viking’s Giving Tree is located in the main lobby and supports the Women’s Resource Center of Newport.

Nutcracker Tea & Night Before Christmas Reading by Mr & Mrs. Claus  – Sunday, Dec 10  –  Enjoy a new tradition as the award-winning Seekonk Dance Center Elite Team from Seekonk, Massachusetts performs original choreography and pieces from the classic Nutcracker. An assortment of teas, cakes, and treats will be served during the performance. Then enjoy a visit from Mr. and Mrs. Claus with a reading of the Night before Christmas and a photo opportunity. Price: $50 per adult, $35 per child under 12, includes tax and gratuity. Teddy Bear companions are encouraged.

Brunch with Santa – Sunday, Dec 17 – 9 AM to 11 AM – Santa will be hosting a very special brunch in Bellevue Ballroom at Hotel Viking. Price: $16 per child ages 6 to 12, free for children under 6 years old, $32 per adult.  Tax and gratuity is additional.

Giving Tree Gratitude Drop Off Reception – Wednesday, Dec 20 – 6 PM – 8 PM – A special reception with complimentary beverages and snacks will be held in the Thames Ballroom at Hotel Viking. Drop off a donation, and receive a One Bellevue dining voucher. The Women’s Resource Center (WRC) of Newport and Bristol Counties was founded in 1977 to provide comprehensive domestic violence intervention and prevention services that educate, advocate, and shelter any individual in need of assistance.

Christmas Dining – Monday, Dec  25 – 1 PM – 8 PM – One Bellevue will serve a flavorful four-course tasting menu blending traditional and innovative holiday dishes. Price: $79 plus tax and gratuity. NOTE: One Bellevue will serve regular dinner service on Christmas Eve (Dec 24) from 5pm-10pm.

New Year’s Eve – Sunday, Dec 31– Reservations start at 7 PM – One Bellevue will offer a four-course Prix fixe menu to celebrate New Year’s Eve.  Price: $115 per person plus tax and gratuity.
