Brian Wilson Friday at Twin River (Lincoln)
Music royalty is in the house this weekend at Twin River. Beach Boy Brian Wilson is one of the greatest songwriters of all time, known for classics like “Good Vibrations,” “California Girls,” and “God Only Knows.” He and his band will be playing his “Greatest Hits Live,” assuring happy vibes all around. Hornsby and Lobos Saturday at Indian Ranch (Webster, MA)
Roots fans won’t want to miss a double bill of Bruce Hornsby and Los Lobos Saturday at Indian Ranch in Webster, MA. Check out two great bands at one of our favorite old school venues, on the shore of the longest named lake in the world Lake Chargoggagoggmanchauggagoggchaubunagungamaugg. Really. Deer Tick “Straight Into A Storm” Friday at Columbus Theatre (Providence)
A very special event is coming to the Columbus Theatre Friday night when Deer Tick presents their film “Straight Into A Storm,” a history of the RI band. They’ll be present to answer questions and maybe play a tune or two. Then, catch the band Monday night at their annual Folk Festival kickoff show at the Ocean Mist along with Ravi Shavi. Autumn Defense Friday at Pop (Providence)
Autumn Defense is a side project of two Wilco members, Pat Sansone and John Stirrat. We interviewed Sansone in a preview here earlier this week.
