MIDDLETOWN — The Edward King House Senior Center will host “Plunder In The Parking Lot,” a treasure-hunting fundraiser Saturday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Knights of Columbus Hall at 7 Valley Road.

The event will feature three main attractions: a “Junk from the Trunk” community sale where residents sell items from their parking spaces, a fill-a-bag rummage sale with donated items from Edward King House members, and an “Antiques Rhode Show” offering informal evaluations of personal items.

Regional antique dealers participating in the evaluation portion include Federico Santi from Drawing Room Antiques, Bill Varieka from William Varieka Fine Arts and European art expert Alessandra Dolnier. The dealers will help visitors determine whether items warrant formal appraisals.

The Knights of Columbus will provide food and refreshments, including sausage and pepper sandwiches and a cash bar. Additional family-friendly activities are planned throughout the day.

All proceeds will support programs and services at the Edward King House Senior Center, which has served older adults in Newport County since 1969.

Community members can rent parking spaces for the trunk sale portion for $30 per space. Space is limited and early registration is recommended.
