Newport Police Department

The Newport Police Department is gearing up for active shooter training at the Boys & Girls Clubs of Newport County. These exercises are scheduled for February 3-7, 2025, running daily from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the club’s 95 Church Street location.

If you’re in the area during this time, don’t be surprised to see more police activity or hear some loud noises. It’s all part of the planned training, so there’s no need to worry.
