Tiverton High School’s girls basketball team left no doubt in their home game against Middletown on Friday, securing a dominant 53-12 win.
The January 10 matchup at Tiverton High School saw Middletown struggle to find their rhythm, managing just 9 points for most of the game. LaMaya Gonsalves provided a late bright spot for Middletown, draining a 3-pointer in the closing minutes to bump their final score to 12.
With this win, Tiverton’s season record improves to 4-2, while Middletown drops to 5-4.
Both teams are back in action soon. Middletown hosts Mt. Hope High School on Tuesday, January 14, at 6:30 p.m. Tiverton looks to keep their momentum going at home against Rogers High School on Monday, January 13, with the game tipping off at 7 p.m.
