On Saturday, September 14, 2024, the NOSOLO community will gather to celebrate the brand’s 3rd anniversary with a special fundraising event, highlighted by the appearance of retired NHL athlete and mental health advocate, Nate Thompson. Thompson, known for his advocacy in mental health and recovery, will be attending the event at Stoneacre Garden in Newport, furthering his partnership with the apparel brand.
NOSOLO, whose name stands for “Nobody Goes Solo,” is a purpose-driven brand with a mission to raise awareness for mental health by donating 20% of all proceeds to the National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI). Since its founding in 2021, the brand has raised over $75,000 in support of mental health causes.
The upcoming event promises to be a relaxed, community-centered celebration aimed at encouraging dialogue and action around mental health. Attendees can enjoy food, drinks, raffles, and exclusive NOSOLO gear, all while supporting vital mental health initiatives. A 50/50 raffle and opportunities to connect with others passionate about mental health advocacy will also be part of the afternoon.
Thompson, who has been sober for more than seven years, has openly discussed his struggles with substance abuse and mental health. His dedication to mental health advocacy has grown alongside his personal journey, and he has been a strong supporter of NOSOLO since the brand’s inception. His appearance at this event marks the start of a deeper collaboration as he steps into a more official role with the brand in its fourth year.

The NOSOLO fundraiser will take place from 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM at Stoneacre Garden, located at 151 Swinburne Row in Newport. Proceeds from the event will benefit mental health charities, making it a day of celebration and purpose.
