Choral singing opportunities for teens and adults in Newport County (Domenik Lee/Newport Sings) Credit: DOMENIK LEE 2025

Newport Sings is enrolling teens and adults for two fall choral programs on Aquidneck Island, both free or offered on a sliding scale with no audition required.

The programs are Aquidneck Singers, a multigenerational treble chorus for sopranos and altos, and Quorus, which the organization describes as the first and only LGBTQIA+ all-voices chorus in Rhode Island.

Rehearsals are weekly and begin the week of Sept. 21, building toward a winter concert on Saturday, Dec. 12. Singers work on traditional, pop, jazz and international music, with the organization saying no prior musical experience is needed.

Information and registration are at newportsings.org. Questions can go to sing@newportsings.org.
