Defending women’s singles champion Caty McNally, 2025 women’s finalist Tatjana Maria and former Newport ATP finalists Alex Michelsen and Jenson Brooksby will headline the singles field for the Cerity Partners Hall of Fame Open, presented by the MARGARET Fund.

New England’s only professional tennis tournament returns to the International Tennis Hall of Fame from July 5 to 12, coinciding with the second week of Wimbledon. The field includes nine players currently ranked in the top 100 of the ATP or WTA rankings.

“The caliber of talent coming to Newport this year is a true reflection of Newport’s reputation as a destination event,” said Tournament Director Brewer Rowe. “From former champions to the next generation of stars making their debuts, the Cerity Partners Hall of Fame Open is cementing itself on the grass-court calendar, and there’s no better stage than the International Tennis Hall of Fame.”

On the men’s side, World No. 38 Michelsen returns as a main draw wildcard after reaching back-to-back Newport finals in 2023 and 2024. He is joined in the field’s top five by Brooksby, making his first Newport appearance since his run to the 2021 singles final. The men’s draw also features 2025 Newport semifinalist Eliot Spizzirri and Australians Adam Walton and Aleksandar Vukic.

The WTA 125 field is led by World No. 54 McNally and Maria, a four-time WTA champion and former Wimbledon semifinalist. The top four women’s entries also include two-time major doubles champion Zhang Shuai, who recently won the Australian Open doubles title, and five-time WTA 125 winner Alycia Parks, who makes her tournament debut. American Robin Montgomery takes the first WTA main draw wildcard, arriving in Newport after capturing her first career WTA grass-court title at ‘s-Hertogenbosch last weekend.

The tournament will award equal prize money of $225,000 to the men’s and women’s fields, an increase of $25,000 from 2025. Additional wildcards will be announced in the coming weeks, and the full draws will be posted on the tournament website as they are completed.

Billed as a New England tradition and the only grass-court tournament on the ATP and WTA Tours outside Europe, the event gives ticketholders full access to the Hall of Fame museum, fan zone activations and the Horseshoe Court lawn for Wimbledon and World Cup viewing. Upgraded hospitality experiences, junior clinics, family packages and other add-ons are available. Tickets can be purchased at ceritypartnershalloffameopen.com.
