Rhode Races Events is kicking off its 10th anniversary season, celebrating a decade of running events across the Ocean State.
The female-owned running event company, founded in 2015 by Susan Rancourt and Karen Zyons, has welcomed more than 70,000 runners to Rhode Island’s towns and coastlines since its inception.
A celebration party is scheduled for Feb. 18 from 6 to 8 p.m. to thank supporters and honor the community. The event will include giveaways, food and beverages, and charitable components.
“This milestone represents not only the dedication of our runners, volunteers and partners, but also the powerful sense of community that has fueled our journey from day one,” Rancourt said. “It’s amazing to see how Rhode Races has grown over the past ten years, and we can’t wait to see what the next 10 years have in store!”
Rhode Races produces several of the state’s largest endurance events, including Providence Rhode Races, the Independence Half Marathon in Bristol, the Ocean State Marathon in Narragansett and Newport Rhode Races. The Newport event grew into the largest running event in Rhode Island in eight years.
Throughout the anniversary season, organizers will spotlight legacy runners who have completed all 10 years of events, along with dedicated volunteers and community partners.
Each event will feature enhanced experiences, including motivational miles dedicated to charitable partners, upgraded cheer zones and exclusive anniversary merchandise.
The company will also unveil a 10-year anniversary logo and an updated website.
Rhode Races is a certified Rhode Island B-Corp. More information is available at www.rhoderaces.com.
