A waterfront condominium on Goat Island has sold for $3.42 million, marking the second-highest condo sale in Rhode Island so far this year.

The three-bedroom residence at 5 Defenders Row, known as “Reliance,” sold Sunday, according to Lila Delman Compass. Alyce Wright, a sales associate in the company’s Newport office, represented the seller.

The cottage-style home is part of the Harbor Houses Condominiums on Goat Island South. The 1,828-square-foot property features two full bathrooms and one half bath, four private decks and panoramic views of Newport Harbor.

“My sellers loved their front-row seat to the sailing yachts, powerboats, and vibrant harbor life right outside their windows,” Wright said. “They’re delighted to see the new owner continue to enjoy this extraordinary waterfront vantage point and all that makes this Newport harborfront location so special.”

Wright has sold more condominiums priced at $1 million or above than any other real estate agent in Rhode Island since 2015, according to data from the Rhode Island Statewide Multiple Listing Service. She was also recognized as a top-four agent for RealTrends Newport by volume.

The sale data is based on information from the Rhode Island Statewide MLS for the period of Jan. 1 through Sunday.
