TGR Pressure Drop Ski & Snowboard Film Screening (via Teton Gravity Research)

Ski and snowboard enthusiasts will have a chance to experience Teton Gravity Research’s latest film when “Pressure Drop” screens at the Jane Pickens Theater on Tuesday, Oct. 28, at 7:30 p.m.

The screening marks the 30th anniversary of Teton Gravity Research, which was founded in 1995 by Steve Jones, Todd Jones and Dirk Collins using cash they earned as commercial fishermen in Alaska and heli-ski guides. Joined by longtime friend Corey Gavitt, the group pooled their money to purchase camera equipment and document the progression taking place in action sports.

From its headquarters in Jackson Hole, Wyo., TGR has produced award-winning ski, snowboard and surf films while evolving into a media force in action sports culture. The athlete-driven company has remained committed to showcasing the world’s top athletes and pushing the boundaries of what is possible.

The 91-minute “Pressure Drop” follows the world’s best skiers and snowboarders through Alaskan spines, stacked pillow lines, massive cliffs, giant couloirs, deep powder and insane jumps. Locations span from the Lofoten Islands in Norway to British Columbia, California, Alaska and Jackson Hole.

Featured athletes include Sage Cattabriga-Alosa, Ian McIntosh, Nick McNutt, Kai Jones, Parkin Costain, McRae Williams, Maggie Voisin and Teal Harle, among others.

Doors open at 6 p.m., with a raffle and pre-show beginning at 7 p.m. The event will include giveaways and an opportunity for attendees to connect with the local outdoor community.

Tickets are $22 for general admission and $15 for those under age 16. For tickets and more info, click here.
