MVYRADIO will offer comprehensive coverage of the sold-out Newport Folk Festival, which runs Friday through Sunday at Fort Adams. The festival will provide the Martha’s Vineyard-based station with exclusive recorded performances from each day, available for one-time-only broadcasts nightly from 7-9 p.m.

The station will provide live reports throughout each festival day and post photos and updates on social media. Artists tentatively scheduled for the exclusive evening broadcasts include folk supergroup I’m With Her, indie folk band Bonny Light Horseman and singer-songwriter SG Goodman.

“We’re heading to Fort Adams this weekend for the Newport Folk Festival,” MVYRADIO said in an announcement. “As always, you’ll hear from us on the air throughout the day with reports from the festival.”

The coverage is supported by Midtown Oyster. The Newport Folk Festival, which began in 1959, has sold out this year’s three-day event.
