A luxurious Newport estate has sold for $7,925,000, marking the highest real estate transaction in the city since September of 2024, according to Multiple Listing Service data announced Tuesday by Mott & Chace Sotheby’s International Realty.

The property at 10 Ocean Lawn Lane changed hands through a transaction that brought together agents from two real estate firms. Joseph Costa, a Sales Associate with Mott & Chace Sotheby’s International Realty, represented the buyers, while Michelle Kirby and Kate Greenman of Gustave White Sotheby’s International Realty represented the sellers. The identities of both the buyer and seller were not disclosed.

The impressive estate, situated on three landscaped acres within the private, gated community of Ocean Lawn, boasts a remarkable history as part of the former Firestone Estate. Built in 2017 by Horan Building Company, the stone and shingled home exemplifies craftsmanship with its open floor plan and sun-filled living spaces.

The property’s chef’s kitchen features Rhino marble countertops and professional-grade appliances, while the home offers extensive amenities including multiple fireplaces, a bluestone patio, a heated pool, and a hot tub. The main level houses a spacious primary suite, and the eight-bedroom estate includes a game room, theater, fitness room, and three-car garage.

“I’m honored to have represented the buyers in the purchase of this extraordinary Newport estate,” said Costa. “This property offers the perfect blend of classic New England architecture and modern luxury that my buyers will treasure.”

The turn-key estate’s location provides convenient access to Newport’s renowned Cliff Walk, beaches, and downtown area, making it an attractive investment in one of Rhode Island’s most desirable coastal communities.
