The Newport Police Department is on the hunt for a suspect in a credit card fraud case, and they’re turning to the public for help.

On Tuesday afternoon, the department posted a photo of the person they’re looking to identify on Facebook. They’re not sharing many details about the fraud itself or when it happened, but they’re hoping someone out there might recognize the individual in the picture.

Detective Matt Clarizio is spearheading the investigation. If you think you know who this person is or have any information that could help, the police want to hear from you.

You can reach out to Detective Clarizio directly by email at mclarizio@cityofnewport.com or give him a call at 401-845-5775.

Every tip counts in solving cases like these, so if you’ve got any information, no matter how small it might seem, don’t hesitate to get in touch with the Newport PD.
