Island Art Spot, a popular art studio in Middletown, is moving to a bigger space at 1149 Aquidneck Avenue. The studio shared this news on Instagram on April 30.

The move is set for June and will allow for more classes, workshops, and parties. It’ll also have extra room for tween, teen, and adult programs.

Owner Jennifer is thrilled about the new spot. “I can’t wait to show you our new place – it has so much to offer!” she said in the Instagram post.

The bigger studio will have a new Gift Nook with art supplies and gifts. They’re also planning to open a drop-in play area for young families in September 2025.

Island Art Spot has been around since 2017. They offer art classes, camps, mommy and me sessions, parties, and special events. They’ve won “Best of RI” awards in 2022 and 2024.

Jennifer aims to make the studio “a center for art, play, and community on Aquidneck Island – a happy place where everyone feels welcome.”

As part of the move, they’ll close their current spot at 575 East Main Road in Middletown.

Jennifer wants to hear from the community about the new space. She’s open to collaborations and workshop ideas. If you’re interested, you can email her at Jennifer.islandartspot@gmail.com.
