Susan Anderson from the Tiverton Historical Society will give a presentation on “Rhode Island Independence Day” at the Tiverton Public Library on Tuesday, April 29th, at 6:30 p.m. This event is free and open to the public and will be held at the library on 34 Roosevelt Avenue in Tiverton.

Susan Anderson is the Outreach and Education Director and webmaster for the Tiverton Historical Society, the Tiverton Historic Preservation Advisory Board Chair, and the Tiverton Historical Cemeteries Commission secretary. She is most interested in the American Revolution and this area’s role.

The Tiverton Historical Society is a non-profit educational institution that promotes an understanding of the history of the Town of Tiverton, Newport County, and adjacent portions of Southern Massachusetts by collecting, preserving, exhibiting, and interpreting that history and its relationship to the region and nation for audiences of all ages and interests.
