Middletown Town Council is set to meet Tuesday, Feb. 18, at 6:30 p.m. in Town Hall. The agenda covers several important topics:

  • The council will interview Stephen Huttler for a Planning Board position and consider appointing a new member.
  • A public hearing is scheduled for East Main Road Restaurant 88, Inc. (Mindy’s Galley) as they apply for a Class BV Alcoholic Beverage License.
  • Norman Bird Sanctuary is seeking approval for seven separate Alcoholic Beverage Licenses for various events.
  • The meeting includes a second reading and public hearing on zoning amendments. These changes affect regulations on accessory family dwelling units, development plan reviews, and zoning code definitions.
  • There’s a first reading of an ordinance amendment related to the town’s two-tier residential tax rate system.
  • Budget adjustments for the general fund and Middletown Public Schools for fiscal year 2025 are on the agenda.
  • The council will discuss the State Transportation Improvement Program for 2026-2035.
