Newport Police Department is closing a section of Van Zandt Avenue for road construction. The closure affects the stretch between Tilley Ave and Condon Ave from January 29 to 31, 2025.
The road will be closed daily from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. during these three days. Drivers should plan to use different routes during these times.
The police shared this update on Nextdoor on Wednesday morning.
** Road Closure** Due to road construction, Van Zandt Ave will be closed from Tilley Ave to Condon Ave. This closure will take place on 1/29/24, 1/30/24 and 1/31/24. The road will be closed daily at 9:00 a.m. and expected to be open at 5:00 p.m.
To help with evening commutes and local businesses, the road will reopen each day at 5 p.m.
