The Rhode Island Turnpike and Bridge Authority has just released its weekly travel advisories for January 26 to February 1, 2025. If you’re planning to use any of the bridges in the area, here’s what you need to know:

Newport Claiborne Pell Bridge:

  • Expect westbound right lane closures on Tuesday, January 28, from 7:30 a.m. to 3 p.m.

At the former toll plaza:

  • The westbound left lane will be closed from Monday, January 27 to 31, from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. daily
  • The left lane of the eastbound will also be closed during the same period, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Mount Hope Bridge:

  • Alternating lane closures on Monday, January 27, from 9 a.m. to noon

Sakonnet River Bridge:

  • Alternating lane closures on Monday, January 27 from noon to 2 p.m.

Good news for those using the Jamestown Verrazzano Bridge or the Route 138 Connector – no lane closures are currently planned.
