The Rhode Island Turnpike & Bridge Authority (RITBA) has announced the following lane closures and restrictions on bridges and roadways under its jurisdiction from November 17-23, 2024. Motorists should be aware of these closures and restrictions and plan accordingly.
The Newport Claiborne Pell Bridge will have an eastbound right lane closure from 9 am to 3 pm on November 20. The former Toll Plaza will have westbound right and left lane alternating closures from 9 am to 3 pm daily from November 18-22.
The Jamestown Verrazzano Bridge will have rolling right lane closures on November 19. The Route 138 Connector will have right lane closures from November 18-22. The closures are for construction work.
The Sakonnet River Bridge will have a southbound left lane closure from 5 pm to midnight on November 18. There are no scheduled lane closures on the Mount Hope Bridge.
