The Rhode Island Airport Corporation will host a virtual information session on Wednesday, Oct. 23, at noon for local officials and the public to discuss updates on projects at the state’s general aviation airports.

The session will be held via Zoom, with a link available on the Rhode Island Secretary of State’s website and at flyri.com on the day of the meeting.

The virtual meeting will focus on providing development updates on Rhode Island’s five general aviation airports: Block Island, Newport, North Central, Quonset, and Westerly State Airports. The RIAC will also provide updates on the five airports to the towns that host or abut them.

While the meeting is not a formal public body meeting under RIGL §42-46, it will provide an opportunity for the public and local officials to engage with RIAC regarding their local airports. Members of the Rhode Island Pilots Association are also encouraged to attend to receive updates and provide feedback.

The Rhode Island Airport Corporation is a subsidiary of the Rhode Island Commerce Corporation and is responsible for the operation and maintenance of the state’s six airports, including Rhode Island T. F. Green International Airport.
