The public bathrooms at the Newport Transportation Center, located at 23 America’s Cup Avenue, will remain open daily from 8:00 am to 4:00 pm through January 1, 2025. The bathrooms were scheduled to close on November 1, 2024, but will remain open to accommodate visitors and residents during the holiday season.
According to a media advisory from Discover Newport, the decision to keep the bathrooms open was a collaborative effort between the City of Newport and RIPTA.
According to Discover Newport Communication Director Cassandra Earle, the partnership aims to enhance the visitor experience and support the city’s residents during the busy holiday season.
The RIPTA Customer Service Kiosk in the Newport Transportation Center will be open daily between 8 am -12 pm and 1 pm – 4 pm through December 31, 2024.
