The City of Newport is seeking public input on ways to improve traffic flow and congestion caused by special events. The city aims to develop new transportation guidelines following a busy summer season that highlighted the impact of large-scale events on local roads and neighborhoods.

Residents and community stakeholders are invited to participate in a 10-minute online survey available at www.CityofNewport.com/EventSurvey. The survey aims to gather feedback on experiences with increased traffic on residential and side streets and gather ideas for minimizing traffic and promoting alternative transportation options.

The City is particularly interested in hearing from residents who have experienced significant traffic disruptions due to special events. The survey responses will inform recommendations to be presented to the City Council in the coming months.

The survey will be open until Friday, October 18th.
