The opening reception of a solo exhibition by artist Jerrell Angell at Gallery Sitka/Newport is on Saturday, September 7, 2024. The exhibition will be free to attend from 2-4 p.m. at 227 Spring St., Newport, RI.

Angell is a Boston and Newport, RI, architect and artist with more than 35 years of professional experience. His work has been built around the world, mostly in the Middle East and North Africa, including universities, office towers, hospitals, and movement buildings.

In recent years, Angell has turned to watercolor painting, exploring themes such as landscapes, still lifes, cityscapes, and architectural themes. His work ranges from realistic to abstract, covering a wide variety of topics – landscapes, still lifes, cityscapes, and architectural themes.

Angell is registered as an architect in Massachusetts and Rhode Island and is NCARB accredited. He holds degrees in architecture, urban planning, and studio art.
