Puddingstone Music Series is set to host its first-ever free family event, “Families in Motion,” on Aug. 25 at St. Columba’s Chapel in Middletown, Rhode Island.
The event, scheduled for 3 p.m., promises an exciting blend of music, dance, and acrobatic performances suitable for all ages. Weather permitting, activities will take place both outdoors on the chapel’s grounds and inside the Parish Hall.
Clemens Teufel, founder and pianist of Puddingstone, will be joined by a talented group of performers, including Puddingstone veterans “Ears of Steel” John Lindsay on saxophone and award-winning Colescott Rubin on bass and unicycle. Dancer Katie Moorhead will round out the ensemble.

The program includes a variety of interactive elements designed to engage families and children. Attendees can look forward to unicycling demonstrations, a dance workshop, a sing-along, and an instrument petting zoo.
The instrument petting zoo offers a hands-on experience for children to explore various musical instruments, potentially sparking new interests and passions.
Puddingstone Music Series, known for its diverse musical offerings, sees this family-oriented event as an opportunity to expand its reach and introduce a new generation to the joys of live performance.
The organizers have ensured that the event is accessible to all by making it free of charge. Food and drinks will be provided, adding to the community atmosphere of the gathering.
While the event is free, advance registration is encouraged through the Puddingstone Festival website.
The combination of music, dance, and acrobatics promises a multifaceted experience that goes beyond traditional concert formats.
