We want to acknowledge that the Tiverton Public Library gathers on the traditional lands of The Pocasset Tribe of the Wampanoag Nation of the past and present. We recognize the enduring presence of the Wampanoag nation, and we honor with gratitude the land itself and the people who have stewarded it for over 10,000 years. Their stewardship inspires us to continue to learn how to be better stewards of the land ourselves.

Note: The nation presenting this event is the Pocasset Wampanoag Tribe of Massachusetts and Rhode Island. The state of Massachusetts recognizes this nation according to the state Commission on Indian Affairs.
