Labor Day Weekend is here, and after a quieter stretch in late August, the local real estate market picked up noticeably this week.

With kids heading back to school and families settling back into their routines, we saw a refreshed pool of buyers re-engage with the market. Showings increased, activity in the market picked up, and there seemed to be a little more urgency from people who had taken their foot off the gas during the final weeks of summer.

The weeks surrounding Labor Day often serve as a reset, and for buyers and sellers who want to make a move before the end of the year, September can be an important window. This weekend offers plenty of opportunity across Newport County, particularly in Newport and Portsmouth, where there is a strong selection of open houses across a wide range of price points.

I’ll be hosting two Open Houses in Newport on Saturday, both from 10:00 to 11:30 a.m.

At 125 Van Zandt Avenue #201, buyers have an opportunity to own what I believe is one of the best-positioned units at Pier Landing.
