Sakonnet Vineyard is launching a yoga series this summer.

The five-class series is part of a partnership between the vineyard and Danielle Cerrone, a Registered Yoga Alliance RYT-200 Yoga Teacher through Believe You Can Yoga Teacher Training in Bristol, RI. Danielle has been practicing yoga since 2021. She is a physical therapist and earned her Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) degree from Springfield College in 2020. She works as a full-time physical therapist at University Orthopedics, Inc. in East Providence, RI, at Kettle Point.

The first class, held on July 13 at 10 a.m., will feature a Baptiste-inspired yoga session set amid the vineyard. Following the class, there will be a glass of wine reception.

The remaining class times are August 10, August 17, September 9, and September 21. Each class will last from 10 am to 11 am and cost $20 per person. The price includes a one-hour yoga class and a glass of wine. Those interested in attending can register online.

Sakonnet Vineyard was planted in 1975 and spans 169 acres. The vineyard is renowned for producing award-winning wines with a focus on quality, sustainability, and community. Beginning in summer 2024, visitors will also be able to enjoy their favorite Sakonnet wines on-site, at local retailers, and fresh from the tap at select restaurants.
