The Rhode Island Life Science Hub (RILSH) has appointed Lilia Holt as vice president. Holt, who has led business development for the Rhode Island Commerce Corporation for three years, will oversee all operational aspects of the new hub.
“I’m honored to step into the role of vice president and continue to build upon the progress we’ve created at the Hub. I look forward to advancing our strategic initiatives and driving the next phase of development for life sciences in Rhode Island,” said Lilia Holt, vice president of the Rhode Island Life Science Hub.
The new hire is part of a broader strategy to build on the initial $45 million investment in the new hub.
“Lilia has been a tremendous asset to the Hub since its inception and in her new role as vice president, she will continue to drive our mission forward. Her strategic vision and commitment to economic development in Rhode Island will be instrumental as we support the growth of the life sciences sector throughout the state,” said Interim President Patrice Milos. “I look forward to a close partnership with Lilia as we advance our strategic goals for the Hub.”
Holt has a background in financial services and program coordination and has worked in marketing and sales for both Jennison Associates and the Rhode Island Commerce Corporation.
She is a graduate of Simmons College and Suffolk University and will provide strategic partnerships with government agencies, businesses, and community organizations as part of her new role.
