John Rogers, chief executive and investment officer of Ariel Investments, will speak at a fireside chat with Rhode Island General Treasurer James Diossa on July 19, the office of the treasurer announced today.
Rogers, the first Black-American mutual fund founder in U.S. history, will discuss the importance of diversity, equity and inclusion in the investment industry.

His commitment to business diversity has showed the importance of creating generational wealth for communities of color while demonstrating how diversity can be a growth driver for companies.
