Newport in Bloom today announced that it will host its Annual Spring Plant Sale on Sunday, May 19, from 10 am to 1 pm.
According to organizers, this year’s event will be held on the lawn at the historic Elks Club and promises a greater variety of botanical delights.
“In addition to our locally cultivated treasures, this year’s sale will feature an exciting array of hard-to-find annuals, perennials, and succulents sourced from reputable in and out-of-state growers. Whether you’re seeking vibrant hanging baskets, fragrant herbs, or unique specimens to elevate your garden, we have something special in store for every gardening enthusiast,” organizers say in an email to What’sUpNewp.
“By participating in our Annual Spring Plant Sale, you’re not just acquiring stunning additions to your garden; you’re also supporting Newport in Bloom’s mission of enhancing the aesthetic charm of our city. Proceeds from the sale contribute directly to our beautification initiatives, including the iconic hanging flower baskets that grace our city streets, the annual Garden Competition and Awards Ceremony and public plantings throughout the city,” organizers say.
