For the third year in a row, the Community College of Rhode Island has received a Military Friendly School designation from VIQTORY, a national organization dedicated to connecting veterans with civilian employers.
This designation reflects CCRI’s commitment to creating opportunities for veterans to receive higher education and achieve economic well-being. The college has earned a Silver Level designation for 2024-25, the same as 2023-24.
“I am immensely proud of our continued recognition as a Military Friendly® School by VIQTORY for the third consecutive year,” said CCRI Interim President Rosemary A. Costigan, Ph.D., RN. “This designation underscores our unwavering commitment to serving and supporting the military community. At CCRI, we understand the unique challenges and sacrifices our student veterans have made, and we are dedicated to providing them with the resources and support they need to succeed in their academic and professional endeavors.”
Through its Veteran Services Office, CCRI supports student veterans by providing information on available resources, including how to enroll in classes, apply for benefits, and access social services. The college also encourages student veterans to participate in fundraisers and other social events to strengthen the community.
CCRI’s efforts are part of a broader national movement by VIQTORY to advance veteran employment. VIQTORY is a data-driven military company that supports veteran development by connecting them with job training, education, and employment opportunities.
