A sell-out crowd of over 600 gathered last night on the Redwood grounds to hear legendary Pulitzer Prize-winning journalist Bob Woodward deliver the John J. Slocum Memorial lecture. The keynote address was a highlight of Redwood’s 275th-anniversary celebration.
His talk included details on how he investigated some of his most memorable stories, insights on Presidents from Nixon to Trump, and the importance of journalism today. After his remarks, he stayed on to answer numerous questions. The rapt audience was treated to tales both serious and humorous and rose to a standing ovation as Woodward concluded.
Throughout this year admission is free to the Redwood which is open Monday, Wednesday, Friday, and Saturday from 11 am to 4 pm.
