Dan McGowan writes this morning in his Rhode Map newsletter for The Boston Globe that Colin Kane, founding partner of the Peregrine Group LLC, is considering running for Governor.

Kane is a founding partner of the East Providence-based Peregrine Group. Peregrine Group purchased the Newport Yachting Center, including the Mooring Restaurant, the Smokehouse Restaurant, the Sunset Terrace, and the marina and parking operations from Newport Harbor Corp. back in September of 2014.

Peregrine is currently developing the Hammetts Wharf Hotel at the former Newport Yachting Center.
