The following announcement is from Norman Bird Sanctuary.

Flock to Norman Bird Sanctuary to enjoy a gourmet May breakfast and beautiful ocean views at the 37th Annual Birds & Breakfast on Sunday, May 5th.

The White Horse Tavern’s Executive Chef Rich Silvia prepares a delicious seasonal spread of specialties unique to Birds & Breakfast. Guests indulge on a carved steamship round of pork, salmon scrambled eggs, warm strawberries on toast, assorted quiches, parfaits and more while enjoying live music by local musician Greg Ferreira.

Just a step outside the breakfast tent, guests can enjoy picturesque views over rolling fields filled with tree swallows choosing their nest boxes. Nature lovers can join naturalists on a half-hour hike in search of fresh signs of spring like blooming flowers and singing migrant birds.

Back at the tent, children can make spring-themed nature crafts and animal lovers of all ages will have the opportunity to meet Norman Bird Sanctuary’s resident barred owl, red-tailed hawk, rabbit, or hognose snake.

“Birds & Breakfast is the perfect way to bring your family together to celebrate spring, catch up with old friends, and support our community’s open space,” said Lesley Muir, Norman Bird Sanctuary’s director of special events, “Not to mention the delicious food!”

The proceeds from the Birds & Breakfast fundraiser directly support Norman Bird Sanctuary’s mission to preserve and steward 325 acres of wildlife habitat and provide environmental education opportunities to all.
