Edward W. Eichelberger, 89, of Newport, RI died Saturday, March 18, 2017 at Village House Nursing Home in Newpor, RI. He was the son of the late Edward A. and Marie Augusta Carolena Boettcher Eichelberger.
He was married to the late Judith C. Razza. They were married for 29 years.
Mr. Eichelberger was born January 18, 1928 in West Palm Beach, FL but did all of his schooling in Gowanda, NY. After serving two years in the Navy he attended Chicago Technical College receiving a Bachelor of Radio Engineering. His first was job was with Motorola in California. He later accepted a position in 1960 at Raytheon Submarine Signal Division. Retiring in 1992
He is survived by his stepsons: A. Thomas Razza, Jr. of East Killingley, CT, James D. Razza of Plymouth, NH, Paul J. Razza of Warren, RI and Christopher C. Razza of Newport, RI. He is also survived by his nephews, John L. Holcomb of Gretna, LA and Thomas L. Holcomb of North Collins, NY.
He was preceded in death by his wife Judith and sister Sarah Holcomb.
Funeral services and burial will be private.
