Audrain Newport Concours & Motor Week will return Oct. 1 to 4, with the eighth edition of the event expanding into a two-concours weekend for the first time.
The event arrives fresh off being named Motoring Event of the Year at the 2025 International Historic Motoring Awards, just three years after receiving the organization’s Rising Star Award. Billed as the “Concours of the East” and presented by A. Lange & Söhne, it has become one of the most recognized automotive gatherings in the country, uniting automotive history, design, sport and luxury against the backdrop of Newport’s Gilded Age mansions and coastal scenery.
The week culminates Sunday, Oct. 4, with the Audrain Newport Concours d’Elegance at Fort Adams State Park, where more than 180 historically significant automobiles, spanning early-1900s motorcars through modern collector icons, will compete for class honors, the Willie K. Vanderbilt Trophy and Best of Show.
New for 2026 is the inaugural Audrain Supercar Concours on Saturday, Oct. 3, at Fort Adams, where more than 75 of the rarest supercars and hypercars of the past three decades will compete for their own Best of Show. Organizers said the addition reflects a broader shift in collector culture as younger buyers increasingly embrace modern performance icons alongside traditional classics.
“The Audrain Newport Concours & Motor Week has become something truly special in a remarkably short time,” said Nic Waller, president of the Audrain Group. “Newport offers a setting where automotive excellence, luxury, and history naturally converge. The addition of the Supercar Concours allows us to celebrate both the heritage of the automobile and the innovation shaping its future.”
Beyond the concours field, Motor Week unfolds across Newport with private gatherings, waterfront tastings and luxury-brand activations. Highlights include the Audrain Hat Luncheon at Rough Point and a public Supercar Tour along Ocean Drive on Thursday, Oct. 1; The Gathering garden party at Rough Point and Broad Arrow Auctions’ first-ever Northeast sale on Friday, Oct. 2; and a public Cars & Coffee, the Tour d’Elegance and the Audrain Casino Royale Gala, hosted by Jay Leno and automotive historian Donald Osborne, on Saturday, Oct. 3. Educational seminars throughout the week will feature figures including Leno and Rod Emory.
Organizers said complimentary trolley service will loop continuously between official parking areas, partner hotels, the Audrain Automobile Museum and key venues, with curated ferry service to Fort Adams from Jamestown and Newport. Additional announcements regarding featured classes, special guests and luxury partnerships will be made in the coming months.
